About
Becoming a dwelling place for the Lord
We believe the Church exists for God; Tapestry Church desires to be a place where God’s presence loves to come and rest. Our eyes are fixed on Jesus, so we follow His leading in all that we do–in prayer, in worship, in study of His word, in fellowship–it is all unto Him, for His glory.
Our Story
Our community began in the homes of Stouffville families, gathering on Monday nights for worship and prayer. Those early gatherings created a close-knit rhythm of seeking Jesus together and laid the spiritual foundation for what was to come.
In June 2025 we expanded our public worship, beginning monthly worship nights that drew friends and neighbours into focused times of praise and encounter. By September 2025 our gatherings moved to a local coffee shop, where we established a weekly service that welcomed the wider community and helped us refine our identity and practices.
An opportunity came up to rent from one of Stouffville’s oldest congregations, Stouffville Memorial Christian Church, and since February 2026 we have been meeting there. Today we hold worship services and a weekly prayer set—practices that serve as pillars for a life of ministry unto the Lord.
